How to enter into a payment plan that extends beyond 90 days after the lien filing date?

California

I completed a project nearly three months ago and have not been paid. I filed a mechanic's lien and now my customer wants a payment plan that will extend beyond 90 days from the lien date. How should I proceed in these instances?

If you're lien rights have not yet expired, you can record a document that extends your time to pursue a lien claim, but the owner needs to sign-off on it. You need to talk to a construction lawyer. Good luck and Happy Thanksgiving.
