If I have served the wrong property owner at the wrong address do I still have lien rights?

Texas

I just realize that i may have sent the notices (preliminary and monthly) to the wrong person at the wrong address. How does this affect my lien rights? The lien is due to be filed by January 15, 2023- in 5 days. The Sub and GC have been correctly notified but as I said, I believe the address is wrong for the property owner. What can I do?

Thank you for reaching out to our legal community. A lawyer in your area has answered a similar question in the past: "Subcontractor asked GC for name of Owner and received wrong information regarding owner name but correct address. Sub sent notice to the wrong owner correct address. Does that effect contractor's rights to file M&M Lien in Texas?

That answer may help you. If you still have questions after checking out that thread, it may be prudent to consider contacting an
attorney directly in private. You can browse our directory of Texas construction lawyers at levelset.com/payment-help/experts/construction-lawyer/texas/
