Am a subcontractor I finished my job November 23rd for a commercial project international floor coverings hired me . I already sent them a preliminary notice 3 weeks ago and haven’t got a response the invoice is for $9,,870 please help!!
IndianaThere is an abandoned property adjacent to my property. The owner of record is a company that has been out of business for many years. I have taken care of the property adjacent to my property for over 17 years now and would like to acquire it. Today, there are a number of trees that are dead/dying or falling over presenting a real hazard to life and limb. If I pay to have those trees taken down and removed can I file a lien against the property? Thank you, j.b.
IndianaI'm a subcontractor working for a General Contractor on a Hotel Project. Our scope of work was identified as installing all shower doors and we signed the contract. However, turned out that the number of shower doors that needs to be installed is two times higher than what has been provided in our quote. Please advice if it's still possible to change the terms of the contract after it's been signed.

IndianaI'm a subcontractor working on residential projects. I finished my work on the job two months ago but haven't gotten paid - and my customer isn't returning my calls. What should I do?
IndianaWe hired a general contractor to rehab a home. An electric company with whom we never had contact put a lien on the home with no notice. The electric company says they had a verbal contract with somebody (but are not sure who that person is) to do over $10,000 of work on our home. The general contractor says he did not authorize the work of the electric company or receive any quotes for the work. The electric company says the account for our home is under the name of our property manager. The property manager says he did not authorize the work or receive any quotes, either. The electric company cannot produce the original quote they say was approved by somebody verbally or prove they sent it to anyone. Some sort of work has been completed, but either nobody "remembers" authorizing the work or the work was never authorized. The general contractor knew that some work was being done but didn't stop the work. What authority or law gives the electric company the ability to put the mechanics lien on our home?

IndianaI paid a contractor to do all my drywall, he subbed it out to somebody else. He never paid this guy Jose, now Jose thinks he can put a lien on my property because
the Daily Had with DQ. The other contractor. But he and I never had a contract my contract was with another contractor. So I don't see how he has any legal right to be able to put a mechanic scene on my property man we never even had a contract or a handshake deal or anything.

Nevertheless, I stated to Him the expenses I paid to get to I Indiana from Georgia and requested those funds back, $250.00. He also paid a deposit of $850.00 to start the deck. IndianaGood afternoon My business partner who is also a wounded Veteran like me funded this project and house. We're known across the state for hiring vets and working for larger companies like Pulte etc. My business partner informed me yesterday that after 2 weeks he would have our company lawyer file a mechanics lien to hold all projects for Iqon/ Integra until the $2500 is paid to us which we have had done and is now been a month. I have no ill will towards anyone and since this is business, payment on time is very important. Especially to two veterans that are paying out of pocket to run this company from time served. I let Mike know yesterday that today would be that last day to pay our invoice otherwise further communication would be between my business partner if not the company lawyer. I hate that it's come to this. It also says on our site that failure to pay for our service within 24 hours of a specific time would result in potential removal of the insulation since it's still ours and legal action to be taken and the contract signed makes automatically goes into affect. Since I've worked with our client before in that past, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. But ignoring a good company like us especially veteran owned and waiting to pay if at all is not good business. Regardless, thank you for the chance to work with you. I just wish it was under better circumstances. I'll stay respectful through the whole process and have been since starting this project. Please let me know your thoughts on all of this or how we can correct this situation.
