Im a contractor wanting to place a lien on someone property who owes me money for a insurance job
MississippiI signed a contract for roof replacement on 12/3/2020. Start date was promised verbally as 12/8/2020. To this point, no work has been even started. I emailed contractor on evening of 12/8/2020 detailing that no work had been done, no equipment had been delivered. He called me the morning of 12/9 and screamed at me for trying to hold him to the start date he promised. Now nearly 2 business days with no contact.
At what point can I terminate contract?
MississippiGood Morning! Our company is based in IL and we were sub-contracted to work on a construction project for a restaurant in MS. The last day of work/invoice sent was 09/25/20. To date, we have not been paid. Have we passed our time frame to send Notice? Please and thank you!
MississippiHave a mechanic shop the owner left it for 30 days and I started storage I ran certified letters to the owner and lien holder. My husband has been doing this for 30 years I have 5 I have went by the guidelines of Mississippi but now a lawyer is telling me I can’t charge storage on the vehicle
MississippiI completed a job in Biloxi, MS. My company is based out of Pnama City, FL. The HOA we worked for sent us a letter they won't pay for additional work preformaned. Some of the work (move in move out per origional agreement) due to hurricane Sally. My question is: The HOA has an address liening it would be mute in my mind. The board memembers whom I delt with have the same address with unit numbers. I want to lien the HOA and board members.

MississippiMy company is located in Panama City, FL. We completed a stormwater maintenance job in Gulfport,MS. About 10 days later I received a letter from the president of the board (HOA) saying they would pay the contracted work but not the additional work. I had several conversations with a board member whom gave me a comfort level the HOA would pay for the additional work. No written CO. An unknow underground spring was a problem. Then we needed to pull off the job because of hurricane Sally. Do I have ant Lein Rights. Wrote them a letter. No one will take my call no contact.
Mississippi[Liz at Levelset posting on behalf of user] We just got a job that has 24 different addresses. It is an apartment complex type deal. We want to see if there is a way we can secure all of that under one notice rather than sending a preliminary notice to each address. It's all for one apartment complex, but has multiple buildings & different addresses per building. I have a Material Purchase Certificate that has the address for the entire permit location on it. I'm not sure if that address would cover all of it. Last time we did this we had our attorney do it for us. Do we need to send a separate notice for each address?

What should I do
MississippiI am a Sub Contractor working for a company that is NOT the GC. ( so I would assume they are sub contractors aswell). I did not file a notice to owner when starting this project in Mississippi back in June 2020. I have a feeling do to payments dragging the company I am providing labor for only is not going to pay me for work completed( we are at number 95% right now). Can I still sent a notice to owner ( I only know the GC on this project not sure how to find out the owner)? I also have change order which I still need to submit after completing that beginning of Sept 2020. And last I am still owed retainer which normally only gets released 45- 90 days after completing my scope of work which will be done by End Sept 2020 First week Oct 2020.
As a note. This construction we are doing is a extention of a existing property.

Mississippican i file a loan against a person if they owe me money?
MississippiMy company is based in Fort Lauderdale, FL, We installed an external debris chute at a commercial property in Meridian Mississippi in January 2020. The customer made two payments then stopped and now is in arrears $12,000.00. Levelset sent out a preliminary notice when the work began. The cust does not want us to take down the chute and refuses to pay. Are we legally allowed to proceed with filing a lien to try and collect the monies owed to us? Some of your advisors, who are not attorneys keep saying something about only having 90 days to file. Please advise.
