We have a customer who we worked their insurance claims for 2 properties have the claim information and now customer will not return our calls to move forward. We want to know the timing we have for filing liens.
OhioAn incorrect General Contracting Company was listed as a General under "Project Stakeholders" in addition to the correct General Contractor, who was listed as "We were hired by". The General that was listed incorrectly contacted me to let me know they were not the General for this project. Does this Notice need to be corrected and resent or because the correct General was listed under "We were hired by", is it okay?
OhioAlready sent a Notice of Intent to Lien; however, we missed the window to actually file a Lien. At this point, we would like to send an official Demand Letter.
OhioWe just got a subcontract from a general contractor for plumbing work. In the contract it states that we waive the rights to file any type of lien against them. Is this illegal?

OhioIn the state of Ohio – when we do work for a General Contractor – are we required to request a Notice of Commencement from the GC and are we required to submit to the GC a Notice of Furnishing within 21 days of providing labor or materials for the job?
OhioWe have a contract with someone as their GC. They are not holding retainage on us for this project. Am I able to still hold a retainage of 10% on the subcontractors that we have on the job?
