My husband has a associate degree in electrical work and has worked as a mechanic for years he rents a garage where he works on vehicles. he has a ein number but is not a licensed mechanic. He put in new engine and fixed the electrical issues the truck was having and the customer doesn't want to pay in full! He still owes almost 3600 for the work and parts my husband ordered! Can he file a mechanical lien?!

GeorgiaCompany came out to assess our property to put on a new roof. Went thru the insurance company to get estimate on roof. The insurance company paid for the roof and we released the money to the roofing company. Now the roofing company is trying to get more money after they have received money in full twice for supplemental supplies. The roofing company had only come out once to our house. Every time they say we owe money the invoices are different amount for the same material they already have gotten paid for.

GeorgiaI hired a company to do a job and they didn’t correct materials. I have not paid in full. I told them they needed to correct it. They said they would correct it in a text but now they are not wanting to fix it to my satisfaction. They came up with a cheaper way for them to fix and that’s all they are willing to do. But now they want payment like their job is complete. What can I do?

GeorgiaThe General GC hired unlicensed electrician (person with no license), checks were payable to a person instead of a electrical company. Also, the other subcontractors, Framer, Roofer were people with no business license from the state and with no occupational license by the county (as required); also checks were payable to person instead of a company. Is this legal? He submitted a mechanic lien for extra cost not established in the contract. Any suggestions, feedback would be appreciated.

I have 2 years of storm restoration experience but have expelled greatly enough to invest in my own home restoration business raging from basic remodeling, insurance claims all the way to new construction.
